Help Lathrop Thrive!
Generosity pervades Lathrop. The tradition was initiated by those who gave freely of their time, talent, and treasures when Lathrop was launched in Northampton. Jean Sheehan’s gift of the core property to create the Easthampton campus extended the spirit of generosity, which continues today in ways large and small. Lathrop’s 501(c)(3) status ensures that all gifts are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. We invite you to support Lathrop!
There are many ways to give:
The Lathrop Community Fund is encouraging that 2016 gifts be directed to any or all of the following initiatives: Lathrop land conservation, music programming, staff development, the Northampton and Easthampton Resident Associations. Unrestricted gifts are also welcome, of course. Donate here.
Gifts of appreciated securities may offer enhanced tax benefits. For more information regarding a gift of securities, please contact Lathrop’s Chief Financial Officer at 413-586-0006.
Gifts in honor or in memory of someone are a meaningful way to recognize people of significance to you and/or the community: a family member, friend, neighbor, or staff member. You will receive acknowledgment of your donation; the honoree or his/her family will be informed of the gift without mention of the amount. Donate here or download a printable donation form in PDF format.
Corporate matching gifts are offered by many companies for charitable donations by employees and, sometimes, retired employees and spouses. Contact the personnel office of the company with which you are/were associated for information about this easy way to stretch your dollars.
Planned gifts can be bequests or gifts made over a period of time that are structured to meet your specific financial objectives while also benefiting Lathrop. Planned gifts can offer significant advantages of favorable income, as well as savings on capital gains and taxes. These options allow donors to transfer cash, real estate, or other assets – while in some cases retain an income from the assets for life. Please visit our Guide to Planned Giving here.
A unique opportunity for Lathrop residents to make a lasting expression of appreciation is to donate their entrance fee to Lathrop when they leave the community.
